We learn to speak by imitation

According to Confucius, we learn by three methods, by reflection, by imitation and by experience. Generally we don’t make time to study the subject of public speaking (reflection) and we don’t often like to listen to negative feedback about our own performance on a platform. Therefore imitation is left. If we want to learn by imitation we need to have good role models. If we have bad speakers we tend to imitate there bad behaviors and we may think that’s the good way to do it. If you want to be a good speaker, accept feedback on your performance on stage, learn new skill and reflect on it, and go to look and listen and imitate to the best speakers.
